Performed annually on July 4th the "Jefferson & Adams: A Stage Play": Above photos (click to enlarge) are from the evening of July 4th, 2011. John and Abigail Adams (Sam Goodyear and Abigail Schulman) and Thomas Jefferson (Bill Barker) performed the story of a turbulent 50-year friendship told through the historic correspondence of Jefferson and the Adamses.Excerpts from the letters are woven into a compelling script, full of rich, poignant, and prophetic language - a heart-felt dialogue that reveals the essence of the characters and communicates the spirit of the times and the pivotal events that shaped American history and defined the character of the Country. - Click on photos to left for hear the David McCullough presentstion about John & Abigail Adams. - I suggest fast forwarding 10 minutes to where Mr. McCullough steps to the podium and begins speaking. I strongly recommend listening to one of America's greatest author/historians David McCollough speak about John and Abigail Adams. Mr. McCullough gives a detailed look into the life of the second president of the United States through diary entries and letters John Adams wrote to his wife, Abigail. He concludes that John Adams is one of the most influential and most misunderstood of our Founding Fathers. Abigail is his strength.
