American Giant, which normally makes T-shirts and sweatshirts, is now making medical masks due to the coronavirus pandemic. "We have as a country given up our ability to manufacture things over the last 30 years," its CEO Bayard Winthrop says. "And that has put us into a situation where we really are unable to make the things that we critically need right now."!

American Giant ... is a proud American Made Hero Company!

"Bayard Winthrop says he can offer higher-quality garments for lower prices than his competitors -- and do all his manufacturing in the U.S...."

"Talk in the U.S. about jobs being lost to factories overseas, combined with an increasing consciousness on the part of consumers about how and where their belongings are being made inspired Winthrop to take a second look at the cost equation. Now that a majority of Americans are on broadband connections and many are comfortable shopping on-line (provided shipping is free and returns are handled smoothly) a play like American Giant is now possible."

"This wouldn't have been possible even two years ago," Bayard Winthrop says.!

Bayard Winthrop, founder of American Giant, is hereby recognized as an American Made Hero.

"Not only the wealth, but the independence and security of a country, appear to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufacturers. Every nation ... ought to endeavor to possess within itself all the essentials of a national supply. They comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense ... The expediency of encouraging manufactures in the United States, which was not long since deemed very questionable, appears at this time to be pretty generally admitted."        Alexander Hamilton ... an American Made Hero!! Buy American! An idea from USA's founders directed at the present!       ***  Sam Adams, fierce voice!  ***     Our heroes thank all who fight in support of USA manufacturers!! The America I know must always be viewed as a land of free people and not simply a business platform from which to extract personal profit no matter what effect on our fellow citizens. We must fight to not lose our economic independence. Economic independence assures the existence of the United States of America as a land of free people. Domestic manufacturing & innovation combined is the key to our future prosperity. Americans must actively protect and support our USA based manufacturers!!

Since 2008 has given special recognition to those companies & individuals still manufacturing & innovating here in the United States of America. It was created by Mike Tamulis as he observed how our USA based manufacturers were under threat and needed more public recognition & support. Today more & more Americans are choosing to support American Made as their act of patriotism & for the future prosperity of our country.

Knowing many US manufacturers Mike understood how decisions to stay in USA were often due to loyalty to employees & community which is truly heroic ... hence his creating American Made Heroes!!!
American Made Heroes' message is clear, it is only with domestic innovation & USA based manufacturing combined that USA's prosperous future is assured for the next generation. We bring this simple message directly to schools, colleges & universities in cities & manufacturing towns across the USA. Revolutionary Boston challenges USA's develping innovators to be patriotic thought-leaders & "intellectual street-fighters" who will focus on producing their future innovations right here in the USA too.!!!!!

Patriotism, Jobs Primary Motivations for 'Buying American'

PRINCETON, NJ -- Forty-five percent of Americans say they recently made a special effort to buy products made in the United States. When asked why, these shoppers mainly cited patriotic or altruistic goals related to the national economy, including creating and keeping jobs in the U.S., rather than product-specific considerations such as quality, safety, or cost.    Click here for survey results.
