Dura Automotive Systems of Rochester Hills, Michigan
... selected as an American Made Hero Company!

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., February 3, 2010 - DURA Automotive Systems, LLC (“DURA”) announced new management appointments. These appointments result from the previously-announced acquisition of a majority interest in DURA by affiliates of Patriarch Partners, LLC (“Patriarch”) and the planned integration of Global Automotive Systems (“GAS”), another Patriarch-affiliated company, with DURA.

You wouldn't be able to keep the pedal to the metal without Dura Automotive Systems' driver control systems. The company is a leading supplier of pedal systems, parking brake mechanisms, manual and automatic transmission gear shifter systems, and auto cables. Dura also makes door and window systems and trim, as well as engineered assemblies such as tailgate latches and seating adjustment controls.

Headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan, DURA Automotive Systems sells to every auto OEM in Europe, Japan, and North America. Customers include Ford, Volkswagen, GM, Chrysler, and BMW. Dura has about 33 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries. In December 2009 Lynn Tilton's firm Patriarch Partners bought a majority interest in Dura for about $125 million.

Patriarch Partners, LLC is the parent company of Dura Automotive Systems.

Patriarch's CEO Lynn Tilton acts to Revive American Manufacturing.

"People who have been making things with their hands for generation after generation have always been able to have a life with dignity taking care of their family doing so. Eradicating that from our economy is an arrogance that says we are too good for that."

"I am here to say that there is no shame in being the maker of things. Every great economy has been built upon being the maker of things." ..."We are de-evolving as a nation when we take those jobs away."

"Frankly, if we do not employ people in this country it will ultimately end badly for all of us."
