Back in 2003, Robert Lenney couldn't afford to make his company proprietary rain gutters in the United States so he set out for China. A U.S. defense contract recently lured him back, thanks in part to a federal "Buy American" mandate. What the owner of the Calif.-based Gutterglove discovered is that it isn't so difficult to manufacture goods on American shores these days.

Now Gutterglove has 25 employees working at his Sacramento facility with another 20 anticipated to be hired by year's end.

We applaud Mr. Lenny for his entreprenurial drive and for his decision to bring his Gutterglove product manufacturing back to the USA creating job opportuinities for his fellow citizens. Mr. Lenny is now recognized and welcomed as an American Made Hero!
