At 1 minute and 10 seconds into this interview is where Walmart's CEO from 2009 to 2013
Mike Duke
clearly states that Walmart does not "track" or "publish" the source of product (aka country of origin)
information for the public to review.
"It is not something that we can track. The source of product, the factory, is not something that we publish." - CEO Mike Duke |
As per the Federal Trade Commission web site ...
"The Textile and Wool Acts require you to disclose country of origin information in catalogs and other mail order advertising
and in Internet ads that
sell textile and wool products. The description of each advertised item must include a statement that it was made in the U.S.A., imported or both.
A general statement in your ads that all products are either made in the U.S.A. or imported is not adequate."

"Not only the wealth, but the independence and security of a country, appear
to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufacturers. Every nation ... ought to endeavor to possess within
itself all the essentials of a national supply. They comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and
defense ... The expediency of encouraging manufactures in the United States, which was not long since deemed very
questionable, appears at this time to be pretty generally admitted."
