Gina's story -- I'm originally from the small town of Fort Payne, AL, which is formerly known as the sock capital of the world. Funny but true. Until about 10 years ago, a very large percentage of socks you could purchase in this country were made in our quaint little town. Unfortunately, outsourcing has greatly taken away from Fort Payne’s textile tradition.

Exxel Outdoors is an economic success story because it is bringing jobs back from China. Exxel Outdoors founded in 1996 is a privately held company which currently has approximately 30% of the US sleeping bag market. CEO Harry Kazazian and the approximately 115 employees of the Haleyville, Alabama facility are hereby recognized and honored as American Made Heroes!

To this day, M&B Hangers remains family-owned and family-operated. Milton M. Magnus, Jr. (who went by his middle name, Malcolm), joined the company after the war and stayed until he retired in the late 1980s. Milton M. Magnus, III, the current president, joined M&B Hangers in 1974. And sales representative Milton M. Magnus, IV, known as Mack, came aboard in 2007.
