Mass Nurses union backing Lynch in Senate primary:
CANTON, Mass., Feb. 26, 2013 - The Massachusetts Nurses Association/National Nurses United (MNA/NNU), the largest union of registered nurses and health
professionals in the Commonwealth, today announced that it has endorsed U.S. Congressman Stephen Lynch for U.S. Senate in the Massachusetts special
election.
"Our endorsement of Congressman Lynch was based on his outstanding record of supporting a number of issues important to frontline nurses in Massachusetts, including his longstanding support for Federal and state legislation to require safe RN-to-patient staffing limits for nurses in acute care hospitals, safer working conditions for nurses, and access to quality health care for all in America," said MNA/NNU President, Donna Kelly-Williams, RN. |

We welcome you to Boston. Relax, get settled & enjoy a fantastic evening. You deserve it!
We honor selected individuals by presenting them the
American Made Heroes "Paul Revere Award"
in recognition of those who have not surrendered in the fight to defend USA manufacturers against foreign competition.
The Liberty Bowl, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution have been called the nation's three most cherished historical treasures. This
silver bowl documents a revolutionary act in the American colonies. Engraved on its rim are the names of fifteen members of a secret organization in
colonial Boston called the "Sons of Liberty." This group existed during the time when ferment against British rule was building towards war. The bowl
commemorates the refusal by Massachusetts' legislature to take back a protest against a British tax. Brave patriots, forever honored.
The Liberty Bowl was purchased by the Boston Museum of Fine Art in 1949, with funds that included seven hundred donations by Boston schoolchildren
and the public. It is very prominently displayed as the central piece exemplifying Paul Revere's craftsmanship at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts recently opened New America's Wing.
We welcome this year's latest "Gatherinmg of Heroes" members & guests.

"Democratic political strategist Matt Barron said one other vote that could influence manufacturing unions is Markey’s 1993 vote in favor of NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement. Markey also supported a 1994 global free trade pact that created the World Trade Organization, which monitors trade policies, administers trade agreements and enforces international trade laws. Massachusetts’ congressional delegation was split on both agreements. Critics, including many in organized labor, say the U.S. lost jobs, particularly in manufacturing, as a result of participating in NAFTA and the WTO. Lynch was not in Congress then, but he has since criticized NAFTA, arguing that it resulted in losing U.S. jobs, while increasing the trade deficit with Mexico." Click here to join the the Stephen F.
