"Not only the wealth, but the independence and security of a country, appear to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufacturers. Every nation ... ought to endeavor to possess within itself all the essentials of a national supply. They comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense ... Wayne Sapper ...
Founded in 1938, King Displays, Manhattan, is a shop with a steady and unique niche in that it prints up to 90 percent of
all the Broadway show signage. Wayne is also a long time friend of Mike, creator of
AmericanMadeHeroes.com
which is an active supporter of "Save the Garment Center".
"It's a passion with me," Sapper says. "I get a tremendous amount of pride seeing my company's work and the atmosphere it
creates ... especially when I walk around the Manhattan neighborhood and see tourists taking photos. It's a big part of their trip to
New York. I love being involved in the great community of the theatre. It's like a family."
