Listening to Professor Freeman describe the Sons of Liberty in her usual humorous style reminds me of my youth growing up in South Boston of which she is
speaking in detail and the knuckle-head & sometimes dangerous things we also did including street fights and taunting.
I describe her teaching this course as "Freeman on freedom" ... repeat it slowly ... uniquely appropriate.
She begins speaking about the Sons of Liberty & Boston about 10 minutes into this lecture. I have included a link to her entire Yale course of 25 lectures at the bottom of this page. Know your history! From this knowledge we will weave the actions of Boston's brave citizens & trouble makers into today's real problem of our losing our economic independence once again through the aggressive application of mercantilism by a foreign power against our economy which is detailed in below linked and highly researched academic document. History does repeat ... it is NOW time for you to take an active role. |
