We welcome you to Boston.  Relax, get settled & enjoy a fantastic evening. You deserve it!

The grand opening of our "Gathering of Heroes" event begins with a friendly introductory cocktail reception where you have the opportunity to meet your fellow attendees and invited dignitaries. The affair is set in the William I. Koch Gallery, a former tapestry room whose 40-foot-high marble walls are now hung, nearly floor to ceiling, with 53 dramatic Renaissance and baroque paintings by El Greco, Claude Lorraine, Poussin, Rubens, Tintoretto, Titian, Van Dyck, Velázquez, Veronese, and other masters. As the evening progresses you will then be presented with an elegantly prepared meal. Below is presented a sample menu for your review.

Malcolm Rogers, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts -- Malcolm Rogers assumed the role of Ann and Graham Gund Director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), in September 1994. During his tenure, he has expanded the Museum’s encyclopedic collection, presented a variety of innovative exhibitions, enhanced arts education programs, enlarged the MFA’s campus, and welcomed new audiences. Rogers’ initiatives are motivated by the MFA’s mission: to serve a variety of people through direct encounters with works of art. This has included renovating and reopening both of the Museum’s historic entrances. In addition, Rogers eliminated admission fees for children 17 and younger, extended the Museum’s hours (some of the longest of any major museum in America), and instituted a series of free community days. Approximately one million visitors each year are exposed to infinite possibilities for education and inspiration at the Museum.

Recognized and applauded as an American Made Hero!

Many large brands decide to make gross margin their most important objective, but the result of their collective focus on margin has been a significant decline in the economic base of many American industries in many different cities. I find it particularly disingenuous when major companies that have built their empires on an "All-American" brand perception now produce their entire lines in China."

"First, we must balance our trade deficit by making trade fair. Some of our trading partners, China for example, have become our trading enemies by devaluing their currency, basically giving us their unemployment problem in return for buying our debt. Putting pressure on China to end their currency manipulation and illegal trade practices will immediately lead to more U.S.-based manufacturing -- jobs we desperately need back."

"Not only the wealth, but the independence and security of a country, appear to be materially connected with the prosperity of manufacturers. Every nation ... ought to endeavor to possess within itself all the essentials of a national supply. They comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense ... The expediency of encouraging manufactures in the United States, which was not long since deemed very questionable, appears at this time to be pretty generally admitted."

"The America I know must always be viewed as a land of free people and not simply a business platform from which to extract personal profit no matter what effect on their fellow citizens. We must also fight to not lose our economic independence. Economic independence assures the existence of America as a land of free people. The country I will leave my children is in trouble and I am gravely concerned. This is my oar in the water."
